The most common one is No. 45 steel, which belongs to high-carbon steel. The performance is improved through chrome plating, quenching, and high-frequency treatment. It can reach a maximum of 50-60 degrees, and it is not easy to process after hardening. There are also ordinary chrome-plated rods, that is, no quenching and high-frequency hardening. The hardness of bearing steel can reach 62 degrees, which is not easy to process, but it is more wear-resistant and has a long service life. 40Cr has good toughness after quenching and tempering. It belongs to medium carbon steel. A3 is not recommended, and its performance is relatively poor.
